    Zero Anderson plug

The large one for the external chargers? I own many of them, see here.

Charge dropping too fast on 2023 FX

Sounds like what happened to me with my 2017 Zero DS 6.5 KWH. Do you also notice faster charging to full and more regen than usual? And some "magic charging"? This means the SOC% goes up a little when the bike is turned off for a while, less than ten minutes off will show an increase in SOC%...

    SR/F home charging sta

I now own five EVs. Yeah, five. I am hopelessly hooked. They are: 2017 Zero DS 2017 Zero SR (with pwr tank). 2018 Tesla M3, AWD, LR. 2020 Energica Esse Esse 9 2022 Chevy Bolt Hatchback. I purchased the Chevy Bolt just two days ago. And it has a recall since yesterday! Since you have the...

    SR/F home charging sta

I don't recall ever seeing one that says "not compatible with motorcycles". Can you provide a link to such? An EV charge station and motorcycle charger should not care at all that it is a motorcycle. J-1772, Tesla Wall and a 14-50R are mainly just all just 240 VAC supplies. The only thing you...

Why is this forum so dead?

I had no problem at all replacing the front wheel ABS sensor. Was an easy job. My SR ABS light was on all the time while riding. So I checked the resistance of the rear ABS sensor and it was 50K ohm. I compared that to the front ABS sensor and it was infinite resistance showing it was open ...

Why is this forum so dead?

Well, I have also heard several such stories, even here in Reno but not with the current shop. I purchased my Zero DS from a different shop where they obviously didn't have a clue how to work on them, caused some big complaints and they were no longer allowed to handle Zeros. Perhaps what...

    Brake lever options

I use a Bullet Brake on all my electrics. Very handy. I even use it as a hill hold when at a red light on a hill. -Don- Reno, NV

Why is this forum so dead?

I have owned two Zeros a 2017 SR and a 2017 DS. Both have side cases and a travel trunk and crash bars are available from Zero, so I have no idea what you're even talking about. And service has been fine as well. I had my 2017 DS 6.5 battery replaced under warranty and got a 7.2 KWH for free...

    Charging at home

I guess you will not use your bike for any long trips! I charge my 2017 SR above 7KW. That means I can take the bike for a reasonably long distance as long as I can find 240 VAC to charge with (either 14-50R, J-1772, Tesla destination) while in route. -Don- Auburn, CA

What type of bike? If Zero, you can change to a drive chain. Page 28 here. -Don- Reno, NV

    Charging at home

Charging with 240 VAC with J1772 will be twice as fast. So if you already have the 240 VAC you can use the NEMA 14-50 cable from your Telsa and use the cheapest Tesla-Tap you can find, since you only need 12.5 amps at 240 VAC for 3,000 watts. BTW, to use the Tesla Tap from a Tesla Wall...

    Charging at home

Your cable the bike came with--what are the ratings listed on the box? Voltage range, current and/or watts? And is your bike the 3KW or 6 KW version? 40 amps at 240 V is 9,600 watts. More than enough for either the 3K or the 6k model of the SR/S. Even 32 amps is more than enough as that is...

    Charging at home

Doesn't the SR/S come with a charging cable? I made my own for my SR so I can charge from 120 or 240 VAC when on the road, as high as 8KW with my SR and as high as 6.4 KW with my DS. At home, I can charge my SR (with power tank) at ten KW (too much stuff to take on the road). I often charge...

    Charging Problem

A common problem with the OBCs as they age. Try a Delta -Q charger and see if it then charges to full. You didn't say what year your bike is. Older bikes are more likely to have the problem. -Don- Auburn, CA

Why is this forum so dead?

I am just curious why nobody posts in this forum. All the Zeros are in the electric motorcycle forum, but no activity here. What will it take to get some activity here? -Don- Reno, NV (I own two Zeros)

    12V Accessory socket

What does the connector for the 12 volt accessory socket kit (10-0750401) plug into? What is the location? Bike is a 2017 DS 6.5. -Don- Reno, NV

    Hello from FNG in Reno

Hi. My first post here. I just bought myself a DS ZF 6.5 a couple of days ago. IMO, it is the most fun thing I have ever owned. I now own seven motorcycles. But the Zero DS ZF 6.5 is only battery operated vehicle I have ever owned. I am the original owner of: 1971 Black BMW R75/5 1984 Red...
